Can you believe that 2014 is almost over? Last year at this point, like many people, I was yearning for the end of 2013. I do not know anyone who had a good year in 2013, and we were all looking forward to 2014 with hope and a sense of “Whew! I survived!” In contrast, 2014 has been a year of new loves, new books, new jobs, new family members, and a multitude of other reasons to celbrate for almost everyone I know.
What were your goals this year? Did you keep any of your resolutions? I am proud to say that I did. I ran my first 5K, spent as much time outside with my kids as I did inside, and actually put money into my savings account- which is a LOT harder than it seems when you work around fabulous clothing and shoes all the time!
The end of the year is a time of introspection and celebration with friends and family. We spend time with family, coworkers and friends, old and new, reflecting on our accomplishments and setting the bar for next year’s achievements. As we celebrate, we want our outside to show just how we feel on the inside- powerful, strong, prepared and fabulous.
